CEO pay

The difference between CEO and average executive compensation varies significantly across countries, observes the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in World of Work Report 2008: Income Inequalities in the Age of Financial Globalization. An examination of executive pay in 2007 for the 15 largest companies in six selected countries shows that chief executive officers earn, on average, between 71 and 183 times more than the average employee, the report informs.
